Registration and the race start, finish and transitions take place at the Illinois Beach Resort located within the Illinois Beach State Park at #1 Lake Front Drive, Zion, IL 60099.

Race Registration and packet pick-up takes place at the Illinois Beach Resort inside Illinois Beach Sate Park.

Course Information

Swim - The swim takes place in Lake Michigan. The course will be a rectangular course parallel to shore. Swimmers will swim out 100 yards and then swim south, parallel to the shore, then turn right and swim 100 yards to the swim finish in front of Illinois Beach Resort. The projected water temperature could be in the low 60's to the low 70's so wetsuit use is suggested. Swim Map

Transitions - The transition area is in a paved parking lot adjacent to the Illinois Beach Resort. Transition Map

Bike - The bike course is a technical loop style course. Sprint and International Distance athletes will bike on the same course. Sprint athletes will separate from the International distance course at two locations. See maps for detail. . 20K Course Map 40K Course Map

Run - The run course is a 5K loop course on the hard packed trails at Illinois Beach State Park. Sprint athletes will complete one lap and the international distance athletes will complete two laps. The first two miles are heavily shaded, while the final mile is out in the sun adjacent to the dunes along the beach. Run Map
