The 2008 TriAmerica National Triathlon Series Tour will debut in April with several brand new venues including an exciting new championship location. Watch for a major announcement in December listing the 2008 dates and exciting locations.

Each stop of the TriAmerica national Triathlon Series Tour will kick off with the TriAmerica Super Sprint Triathlon followed by a TriAmerica TriKidz Triathlon for youths ages 6-14. Sunday will feature the TriAmerica Distance Triathlon that includes a 2K swim, 60K bike, and a 15K run. Select locations will also include a race of half those distances. The TriAmerica Festival of Sport and Fitness will encapsulate the weekend.

Entry slots are still available for the Great Floridian Triathlon XVII and the 23rd Annual Florida Challenge Triathlon. Other weekend events include the Floridian Sprint and a new TriKidz Splash and Dash. All events take place in Clermont, Florida on October 20. More details..

The 25th Annual Great Clermont Triathlon will kick off Florida's 2008 triathlon season. The Great Clermont Triathlon is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2008 and will serve as Florida's primary qualifier for the USA Triathlon National Championship. In celebration of the GCT's 25th Anniversary the race will revert back to the International Distance and will not be part of the 2008 National Triathlon Series Tour. Weekend events also include a Super Sprint and TriKidz Triathlon and the 12K Run Around the Lake. Registration will open in late October with special early savings.
