Ipico Technology

Sommer Sports uses IPICO Sports’ next-generation tracking and timing solutions. The Dual Frequency technology works especially well for objects high in liquid, carbon and electronic content, such as the human body. The complimentary superiority of these technologies provides the ability to read multiple tags while dealing with motion, distance, crowding, demanding environmental conditions and a variety of materials – all variables commonly found at many sports activities.

Bib Tag

The Bib Tag is a durable, single use timing tag that is ideal for large running events. The Bib Tag is affixed to the back of a race bib. Unlike the tags used used by other timing technologies, the Ipico Bib Tag is not affected by moisture and close proximety to the athlete's body,

Shoe Tag

The Ipico Shoe Tag is a low cost, enviromentally-friendly timing solution for running events. The tag is non-intrussive to runners and is affixed to the runner's shoe. At the finish of the race the timing tags are collected and recycled. Thsi is our most popular and inexpensive timing solution for running races.

A non-returnable tag with custom event graphics is also available.

Multisport Tag

The Multisport Tag has the protection of a robust, water-proof casing made to withstand the most demanding conditions in running, multisport and cycling events. The tags are affixed to a neoprene band and are worn around the ankle of runners.
